Dostoevsky on Something New

Seeing something new.
Fyodor Dostoevsky said, "There is no subject so old that something new cannot be said about it."

To which I humbly add, "There is one subject so new that there are infinite things to be said about him."

Meaning, Finn. Here he is, discovering something new in a hanging toy that he's never noticed. Every day is a new adventure. He sees everything through the new eyes of a growing appreciation and excitement. Tough as it is, that's what writers do. You see through new eyes. You hear through new ears. You never stop learning. You go through the happiness and the pain and the good times and the bad times and you write something new, something no one's ever read before.
